2026 Language Competency Monitoring Tests-PELEX, UCR

In accordance with Circular DM-DVM-AC-0347-2026, the 2026 Language Competency Monitoring Tests in English and French will be administered to ninth-grade students in academic secondary education, with the support of PELEX, University of Costa Rica. The Dirección Regional de Alajuela hereby informs that these tests will be administered to the thirteen high schools previously selected.

As part of the process, students will be able to access a practice test, which will not provide a score, but will allow them to become familiar with the type of questions included in the official test.

🔹 For the English test:
Username and password: national identification number.

🔹 For the French test:
Username and password: national identification number with a capital “F” at the beginning.

Available from May 5 to May 17 at:
test.pelex.ucr.ac.cr/logindemo

🗓️ Official test:
Available from May 18 to May 29, with rescheduled sessions on June 1 and June 2, at:
test.pelex.ucr.ac.cr

⚠️ Important:
At the time of administering the official test, the administering teacher must activate the accounts of the students present through:
consulta.pelex.ucr.ac.cr/monitoreo

To do so, the educational institution must be selected and the following password entered:
  activar

Practice tests do not require prior activation.

Additionally, the student roster for each educational institution may be verified at:
consulta.pelex.ucr.ac.cr/matricula

The requested code corresponds to the institution’s budget code.
