English Festival Resources

The English festival is a celebration that helps to promote the use and understanding of the English language among students. Through different activities such as dialogues, speeches, role plays, songs, readings, spelling bee contests, display of students´ work and many more, the students show their language skills  and share their joy for the language.

The English festival will only be implemented at the institutional level (school level), which is not competitive but rather formative. Student participation is voluntary according to their talents and abilities.
 

The English teacher or English Department, with the support and approval of the school principal, will organize the event, selecting the activities that can be carried out according to their context, considering the scenarios, infrastructure, available technological resources, etc. 

Traditional contests such as Spelling Bee, Impromptu Speech, and Impromptu Conversation are optional. Thus, the school may choose other activities according to its context instead of these. If they wish to hold a spelling bee competition, they can utilize the word lists and guidelines provided below.
